Yes, I am new to the cult. So, pass me a giant-sized pitcher of the 'Kool-Aid," please.

Well then bob, stick to the early stuff, not too early though, stay far away from action pact and you're golden.

I'm actually going to see them this Saturday here in Saskatoon. It's a smallish venue, so it should be pretty great. I'm not surprised they'd have such a response in a Michigan gig; it's like the Hip, who tour pretty heavily in the eastern US states around Canada and have a moderately loyal following.

I have almost everything on my hd here at work (cept Smeared and Palais Royale, which I have on CD here). So, if anyone needs something, drop me a pm.

I like the new thing well enough - fun joggin music - and I'm really thrilled that Andrew had the time to fit in some contributions this time, as I was really beginning to sour on the PatRock (even if some of his songs are my favorite Sloan tunes). End of the day, I think I'll always favor Between the Bridges and Twice Removed over the rest of their material. A few weeks back, Onion's AV did a great retrospective look at BTB that does it more justice than its generally tepid response did.

Sloan's live show nearly always makes me say things like: "it reaffirmed my belief in the power of rock and roll." There's a video on YouTube somewhere from a Mid East show they did during the Pretty Together tour where this kid got up on stage to play bass during "underwhelmed" that was hands-down one of my favorite concert experiences. So much "hey this is fun!" stuff going on...

I've seen Sloan about 6-7 times or so. I usually get right up front with the superfans which I rarely do anywhere anymore. The first 5 rows of people are some of the friendliest people anywhere...and I usually end up in a nice make out session at the end of the night.

*BUMP*

Word is they've signed to Yep Roc Records (finally a good fitting label for these guys) and the new album will be out in the US on January 9th.

Hooray!

Has Never Hear The End of It not yet been released in the U.S., or is this a NEW album?

Didn't have a release date in the US. I still got to upload that EP for you, Bob. I haven't forgotten.

it will be Never Hear The End Of It...

However, I will still buy this one, despite DJs generosity.
