It usually doesn' t matter to me but this is an especially crappy Monday.

1) Long drunken weekend spent in Gainsville (Let's not talk about it) and I really needed a day to recover.

2) Open chaos in the office. First the server went down and the secretaries phones don't work, so no secretaries today basically.

3) Overloaded with projects from last week when the server was down.

4) I have to go to a council meeting tonight for work and probably won't get home till 8:00 PM

Make this day end somebody, please?

ASAP after settling into my cubicle for the night.

That is weird - I'm wearing those EXACT headphones right now. Borrowed them from my son. Listening to the Moon and Antartica.

Life ain't half bad.

There is a 79 year old woman (79 - I shit you not) who works the front desk in our office, and she is constantly at break-down emotional state - either her son is about to die, or she lost her paycheck at the casino, or her apartment is too expensive, or blah blah blah. As a fine, upstanding young man, I am always painfully polite to her... but today was a strain. As I came in the door, I made sure to say good morning to her, and asked, in a generic, polite-but-not-really-caring-way, "How are you?" MISTAKE.

I had to hear all about her horrible weekend, when all I really wanted to do was go to my cubicle and plug in my headphones and maybe check my email.

Shouldn't she be in a nursing home somewhere?

I jogged across the parking lot today and my boss told me to jog the way back too.

Rodney, make me some money here.

You may be the only thing keeping that pistol out of her mouth. Chin up.

i hate mondays regardless because i have a 9:30 staff meeting every monday. today that meeting lasted 3 hours. for the first hour, i had to listen to my boss talk about her weekend. then, to top it all off, i have night class on mondays so 13 hour days to start off the week... but i figure, get it all out of the way.

The ironic this is, those aren't actually the headphones I use at work. But they were the closest I could find with 20 seconds of Googlin'.
