Well, I like them both and I think Arcade Fire did make my top 10, but it did start to lose some of its charm with repeat listens for me whereas the Lanegan disc has continued to get better with each listen. Both good recs, but I like the Lanegan a lot more. I was just reacting a bit to the one listen dismissal. Many many of my favorite albums have not impressed me much on first listen whereas many many albums that I never play anymore amazed me on first listen. Music appreciation isn't quite a science
