Oh shit I forgot about C.K. Mann's "Funky Hi-Life", this joint that I first picked up from a DJ Signify disc about 5 years ago and never knew the name of. It was just posted on Benn loxo du Taccu the other day. [/url]

For Me:

Six Days at the Bottom of the Ocean - EITS (man I love this tune)

Still: Have You Forgotten - Red House Painters

Still: Something Pretty - Patrick Park

Bloods On Fire - Pinback

My '63 - Neko Case and the Sadies

Storms(the first track on the first disc of Lift Your Skinny Fists) - GY!BE..this song is perfect for me because there is always some new girl I am waiting to see if they return interest or what have you(Sorry Listerine Baby, I am not referring to you), and this song increases my anxious feeling. It rises and then goes back to the bottom over and over again. You keep expecting the song to just continually increase in its pitch but it doesn't, it just starts over and over. Whew. I get all happy just thinking about it.

Finally, there is this song by Jean Grae. I cannot think of the title right now, but it's track #2 on her newest album. The beat is just wonderful. "the alcoholic in me is almost slaughtered like the travellin' door to doorsman who was found in doors with the farmers daughter Lauren".

"One Chance" - Modest Mouse

It came up on random this morning, and I remembered how much I love this song.
