um all i have to say about tonight's mm show= all i could do was just stare at johnny marr. he still looks good. he rocked it. mm played all new shit (which actually didn't sound that bad) and shit from good news, blah ... i wasn't that into it except that fact that JOHNNY MARR WAS ON STAGE playing guitar and backup vocals... *drool* totally fucking made my night.

first half kind of pissed me off
second half is just a little more interesting

its hard not to be put off by the author
as he has had NO interaction with the band ever
and didn't see the band until "good news" hit it big
and the band obviously didn't want anything to do with this

and it should have been released over a year ago because now the ending shit just looks retarded

pretty mediocre writing
just an in-depth review of almost every song and then snippets from other people's interviews

i give this book 5/10 blue stars

if you're looking for something that you don't know about modest mouse i don't think you'll find in this book
but huge fans (like myself) might be interested in hearing someone's crappy opinion and wrong interpretation of their music
