I've done this quite a few times with my IRiver with the intention of putting everything back on it all neat and in order but I never do.

Hey, what a fantastic idea. Something like that would really help me with my 2006 list this year, had my iPod not already, essentially, been erased, or, you know, stolen. That thing was a dinoPod, though. The crook is probably laughing at it right now.

This reminds me of two situations where I've been stolen from...

In 1999, when someone broke into my house and stole my computer which had a 24K modem and NOTHING worked on it. Ever.

In 2001, when someone broke into my ex's car and stole the broken car stereo.

In both cases, I sat back and laughed at the thief who sold our shit and then promptly got his ass kicked or shot.

I had a similar experience when someone stole a 3 year old laptop that didn't work and was in my car cause I was bringing to get it repaired. I had it covered on my homeowners so I collected a 1500 check on a worthless old laptop.

Just erased my iPOD...
