ha ha, well, if you need someone to add input (and make another trip to Liquor Land) give us a call. I want to stay in the 'End tonight.

You need to come over with the Mrs. next time we make sushi. it's fun!

Thanks Kerry, I appreciate the offer for. Your input on our housing search to date has been invaluable. And, twist my arm for sushi! Delicious.

Did you guys know there is another beer fest coming up next weekend? See here for more details: http://www.beeradvocate.com/fests/ebf I went to this one last year and drank myself into a coma. It was great.

Well, my Friday nights usually narrow down to 3 options:

1. Carrabba's
2. Movie
3. Carrabba's to go w/ rented movie

Doing a double bill of "The Incredibles" and "Sideways", then downtown to meet w/ friend and his gf and (finally) give them the last piece of their Xmas gift - a framed picture of the two of them looking at each other all enraptured while at a bday party last month.

Oh yeah, and drinking.

Tomorrow is football, followed by a trip to Ann Arbor to catch Saturday Looks Good To Me.

Cleaning house, practicing my axes, fooling with four track, watching Alias season 3 on dvd to catch up with this season . . .

None of my beer is drinkable right now - I tore through my last batch of Brown Ale during the holidays, my IPA is bottle conditioning, and my Coffee Oatmeal Stout is still aging in a carboy . . . I'll probably make up for my lack of alcohol by starting another batch of beer or wine this weekend. Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy any beer or wine in the meantime.

I chose reading by the fire, though I don't have one (SoCal, folks) and it will more likely involve laundry.

Last time my roommate tried to start a fire, he filled our entire house with smoke. I had to rewash all f my clothes. It was not fun...

As far as myself, probably a night in watching DVDs, possibly w/alcohol, probably w/takeout. That is, after seeing Electra post-work tonight...
Last night was late-nite Thursdays, preceded by a solo trip to Sushi Mac...

I love me some Sushi Mac...

Hot date with my husband, who is, conveniently, my best friend, and will be drinking much wine with me, and I will (shhh, it's a secret) probably kiss him.

I will be:
offering witty commentary to the obner community
reading by the warmth of my snoring chihuahua
replying to emails, possibly in picture form
maybe watching a movie, maybe even two
playing with silly putty

Oh my. The excitement is overwhelming.

Hate to break your heart, or any longstanding traditions, Borg.

Carabba;s is owned by Outback. Outback is one the biggest contributors to the FL Dem Party and Bush, et al. You can llok for yourself Here

You mean republican?

Man, all this boycotting is getting tiresome. One of my preferred local wineries are big RNC folks, I learned just before christmas giving 2003. And Hallmark! You wouldn't believe the crappy cards I had to send out this year. At least I never go to Outback.

HA! this is funny. I actually went with the current Gov. of Kansas to their corp. headquarters in KC to meet with the Board of Dir. to ask for a contribution. They asked her questions and drilled her for freakin 45 minutes and a month later cut us a check for $1000. That's not bad you say......

They later gave over $50,000 to our opponent.

Fuck em she won anyway and destroyed her opponent in fundraising.

Goddamn it.

And the worst part is that the overwhelming majority of corporate executives in the country are republican, so it's almost impossible to boycott or avoid republican-friendly companies anymore.

Sure it is - shop small, and shop local. Sure, local store owners may be ravingly right-wing, but at least you could buy them a beer and talk with them about their views. I like to think that I am slowly breaking my ties with as many department stores, wal-marts, et cetera in favor of locally owned enterprises, regardless of their political affiliations.

Good idea. I'm going to try and do the same thing for now on.

By the way, at least Borders is largely owned and operated by Democrats because I shop there a lot. Well, at least I'm told it's a liberal-friendly company.

Just came from there. :( I'd go back for no reason.

Tonight: Horror and gore with a bunch of kids at my hero's pad, A. Tobin!
Tomorrow: pseudo date with co-worker -> Ninja Tune Karate Chops hockey game -> one of two shows: jocose electro-rock of The World Provider or indierrific loft show

I'm amped.
