if you're a hater, listen to "the funeral" one more time and try to deny how awesome that song is.

yeah, I was going to point out (since he isnt here this week to do it for himself) that LooGAR claims that to be the best rock song of 2006.

I prefer "The Great Salt Lake" but yeah, its a fucking great song.

There's not one bad song on this album but I am already starting to get bored with it after 3 listens. Oh, and

Top 20 for me, maybe top 15. "St. Augustine" has slayed me since I first listened to it. "Weed Party" is a winner too.

by the way, I also think that people who compare this band to MMJ aren't really listening too hard.

I still think (and have since my first listen) that they have more in common with Built To Spill.

agreed. #1 for me.

Individually lots of good songs (and a couple of excellent ones), but the second half of the album kind of blurs together for me - not quite samey, but it doesn't really stick with me after I stop listening

This sounds like The Waxwings with less "pop."

I got this for Christmas. Decent but nothing outstanding. I may need to give it more listens but it hasn't compelled me enough the first few times to make that a priority.
