What is a "bonus"? Never heard of these things.

Oh, my job stiffed me on the bonus this year. I think it had something to do with spending to much time on this fucking board.

Pretty damn certain that there will be no dosh or anything else for that matter headed my way for a bonus. I do get the pleasure of being on call for Xmas and working New Years though.

Jesus Christ -- as much as you do for your employer, you'd think they'd give you a lil' something. :?

No bonuses, as I work at a college, but if I am lucky I could win something in the raffle today at our all campus holiday party.

I threw Payroll under the bus too hastily. I just got handed my bonus check. Looks like Santa does exist, in check form!

Actually, it was GOING to be HI-DEF TV at FRACLANDS, but we owe my mother-in-law some dough, and she's threatening to have my legs broken if I don't fork over the bonus.

Wis. employer hands out hefty bonuses
Man makes holidays extra merry by giving up to $40,000 to employees

The Associated Press
Updated: 10:07 a.m. PT Dec 22, 2006

MILWAUKEE - The founder of a Wisconsin company has surprised workers with some hefty holiday bonuses.

81-year-old Robert Kern recently retired from the company he founded, Generac Power Systems. He sold his share of the ownership and stepped down as chairman to focus on philanthropy.

The gifts from Kern and his wife vary according to length of employment. Some topped $40,000.

One man who has been with the company for 19 years says his jaw dropped when he got a check for $31,000.

A 9-year employee who got $10,000 says the gifts will change a lot of people’s lives.

The privately held company has more than 15,000 employees. The total amount given to workers isn’t known because the Kerns aren’t talking about it.

I thought I was coming to town to "take care of" some things?
