That was my first surgery, too. First painkillers as well. Now I love being put under. I had some filthy dreams when I was knocked out last month. I need to date an anesthesiologist.

haha it's fine. i went in and the doc wanted to run blood & urine tests and then i had to go get an x-ray. they might send me in for a cat scan tomorrow or wednesday depending on how the tests come back. they think it might be either the ribs or that i did something to my liver.

No shit. I had a morphine button taped to my hand from Tuesday night through Thursday morning--it was timed to allow me a hit every eight minutes. Talk about weird dreamage--I'd wake up from a weird dream, thinking I'd slept for hours when only ten minutes had passed on the clock, hit the button, and return to compound-weirdness dreamage. Tuesday night may have been, perceptually, the longest night I've ever lived.

"We found 32 known illegal substances, as well as 4 new ones."

I doubt that. They'd just both come back 80 proof.

So the person who called me from the doctor's today apparently was the most retarded person in the office. They tried to explain shit to me but I guess they thought I had a medical degree because they couldn't tell me anything other than some levels were high or some other crap. They said I should avoid tylenol and alcohol, which doesn't bode well for next week. Then they tried to patch me through to make another appointment and hung up on me. I called back and got an appt. for thursday though so I guess I'll find out more by then.

sounds like you did injured your liver. maybe bruised it? i hope that's all it is.

Sounds like they run a real tight ship down there.

Went and saw my doctor today. Said that the high levels of whatever they thought was in my liver was probably just from alcohol I drank over the weekend. He said I most likely just tore tissue/cartilage but I have to go back in for a blood test next month.

Booze, me and you are pals again.

Just make sure that next month you don't get all boozed up a few days prior to the appointent cause there's a buttload of things that would elevate those enzymes. Might as well eliminate one possibility and hopefully get a clean bill of health.

Yeah, I figure I'll lay off the booze for a week before the next blood test.
