145/7 after 40 overs. 180 sounds about right.

Bowling? Well, you've got Freddie on a good day and Monty on a better day.

Well this is not a Freddy wicket (you watch him destroy them now i have said that!) but Monty Maybe?????

Yeah, Nixon is probably my favorite wicketkeeper. Cool that he brought it late.

And... Kiwis win. Sorry, Pete.

Netherlands require another 230 runs with 4 wickets and 16 balls remaining

I think South Africa has it well in hand.

I'm not really following this (timezone and not on free to air tv), but holy shit, I just saw that Bangladesh beat India, and even more crazily, Ireland beat Pakistan.

The Bermuda Triangle moved over the Caribbean or sth

England beat Canada without Flintoff. Am curious whether he would have been taken out against New Zealand or Kenya, though.

Dutch are out. SA faces Scotland tomorrow.

Wench made a comment that Woolmer didn't care about the Ireland loss because he was going to leave Pakistan to take the England job. Looks like that's out of the cards. RIP Bob.

And to the three of you who care about today's action:

New Zealand vs. Kenya
New Zealand 177/2 (31.5 ov)

Scotland v South Africa
Scotland 93/5 (33 ov)

Wow, so this is has taken on a nice little twist straight out of a Elmore Leonard novel. Pakistan coach dies the day after shock defeat to Ireland. Drugs & Booze, strangling, poison or possible hit from match fixing syndicate. Who knows? I think he was having an affair with Anna Nicole Smith, owed 10k to Jamaican drug dealers and was going to go public about the abuse of amyl nitrate throughout the cricket world.

Or maybe he died of natural causes and i just need something exciting to distract me from seeing such rubbish cricket from teams like England, Scotland & Netherlands.

This just gets interesting and it drops off the front page.

From BBC.

Police in Jamaica have launched a murder investigation into the death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer.
Following the results of a post mortem examination, police said Mr Woolmer had died of asphyxia as a result of manual strangulation.

The chief police commissioner appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Woolmer, 58, was found in his hotel room on Sunday, the day after his team lost to Ireland in the World Cup.

I bet one of the players did it!

Philadelphia is Cricket Capital of U.S.

(I caught this article from an odds-&-sods mix at Deadspin. Maybe three months ago? I was shocked to know that cricket -- a gentlemen's game -- thrived over baseball for a damn long time in Philly, of all places.)

Way to shit the bed against Bangladesh, South Africa. At least England lost. Australia and NZ are currently running away with this thing.

Goes to reason... Where football didn't take off in the Empire, cricket did. So, given the Ozzies & Kiwis that much, y'know?
