I want to hate them but they aren't bad enough

I want to love them but they aren't good enough

I have both albums, and if I ignore the lyrics and the three worst songs on each, they seem like brilliant albums, but otherwise I ask myself what the hell was I thinking

I'm not particularly concerned about how they "pose", or how much airplay they get, for that matter. I just really like their albums, though I will admit that Antics was a slight step down. Then again, TOTBL is probably in my top 5 of the decade.

totally agree.

i'd add they do not suck live. i have seen many a good interpol live set.
