When someone loses something other than their cell phone, I say "have you tried calling it?"

I sometimes use "assumation" - kind of means an educated guess from an assumption. Derivative of "guesstimate"

lately I've been pulling the handshake explosion move from the office on people without their anticipation/consent. It's totally awesome.

Actually, 'capitated' is a word. Denied. Nice try. -1.

Not sure if my mother came up with this, but it's a family term we use:

The Hoopsnorts - noun - the upper crust of society, typically used in a disparaging manner. Example: It's not my typical Friday night scene, but when I heard that they were offering free wine, I put on a tie, headed over to the gallery, and hung out with The Hoopsnorts.

Barely. 1 in 3 dictionaries recognize it. Debatable.

capitate is still funny used with the definition I gave, regardless of its existence as a word already. Honestly, who the hell uses the word capitated? Not to mention, you can't argue the humor when someone says, "I got the best capitation last night".

"Really? From who?"

"Some whore."

considering how punctual many punk rock bands actually are, i doubt this term enters the lexicon. although, it was terribly clever (even if i didn't hear it clearly at the time).
