I guess The State no longer appeals to MTV's coveted 10 - 20 year old demo.

Doubtful since the DVD is being put out by MTV and the Wain/Showalter web-shows are separate from the package.

You mean The State dvd? "Next year," supposedly around the time they release a Comedy Central produced movie (no idea if the movie is a cable or theatrical release). I'll believe it when I see it.

Per their email newsletter. Lucky LA bastidges.

Quote:
This Saturday, March 15, THE STATE will perform a show of brand new material at UCB Theater in Los Angeles. Our apologies to those of you who were unable to get tickets - it's a tiny theater and it sold out very quickly. There will be a standby line for those who want to roll the dice. Shows are at 10pm and 11:30

I read the email like 3 times to make sure this is happening.

I feel like if I watched the State again I wouldn't find it as funny. It was so perfect way back when...

I wish they would release the episodes of You Wrote It, You Watch It...aired before the state, had most of the cast and was hosted by Jon Stewart.

The Fred Schneider nightmare was fucking classic.

Out today. I pre-orded from amazon yesterday but will have to wait out the free shipping. Hopefully th emusic changes aren't too horrible, but since I have all the old stuff memorized from my worn-out vhs dubs it will be hard.

There's also some new Michael & Michael show on Comedy Central.

in the gag reel, there's the funniest fucking footage of Meloni saying "I need parsley!" and then running off pantsless. It makes me tear up every time I see it.
