Got a late release from the hospital. Gonna be down for another week -- megadoses of antibiotic IVs while in the hospital, reduced to oral meds and vicodin. Wish I could have brought morphine home with me.

Wouldn't wish what I've experienced this past week on any of you. I'm not a cry baby and can tolerate pain pretty well, but today the doctor literally had me screaming and sobbing uncontrollably from the pain. My body still tenses up thinking of it. *shudder*

my wife spent 8 days in the hosp. recently. just got out on Wednesday night. there is not one ounce of fun to be had in the hospital.

Got the approval to return to work next week -- yay! But, still need to receive at least two more weeks of home health care (ie, wound packing) -- yuck.

Doc says I look 200x better than I did last week. God knows I feel a ton better, but I was starting to get cabin fever and a bit stir crazy staying at home 24 hours a day.

That's a good sign. I know I'm really sick, when I really don't feel like doing anything for days on end. I usually can't stand to be in the same place for more than 12 hours.
