Hell, you could use the Sex Pistol's own rerecording of God Save the Queen if it's out in time.

I need you to justify to me why this wasn't on the monger covers project, or even in the slushpile?!?

"You booger-eatin' fat bitch, you picked a real fuckin' fine time to leave me, Lucille/ four ugly children and a sore that won't heal..."

Yeah, I can't justify it.

Well, send it to me anyway!

A band called Ash has an album called 1977 that features some covers from, yes, 1977. They also have a b-side of the Cantina Song from Star Wars.

Wha?

Eric Cartman - Come Sail Away -- this makes me laugh so hard every time

Also, for more inspiration (I.E. not just the top songs from 1977, but some albums as well), see here.

Also, there's an album called "Animals 2001" by Out Of Phase -- it's probably my favourite "album tributes" I've heard. I recommend their version of "Pigs (Three Different Ones)", but "Sheep" is good, too.

There's gotta be a version of "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" out there that doesn't suck.

Oh, and you gotta put some Me First and the Gimme Gimmes on there. Offhand, they've done: Come Sail Away...oh, I can't figure them all out, do your own homework.
