I'm not sure some of these are ALTER egos, but rather the same band changing its name. Like Mark Kozelek, Red HOuse Painters, and Sun Kil Moon is pretty much the same ego because it's a very similar sound.

How this thread got this for without mentioning Buster Poindexter, I'll never know.
