I'm sure it is. I just disagree with that method. There are plenty of great, raw sounding recording full of piss and vinegar that don't get there by just over saturating everything to that point.

This guy has the best rock yelp I've heard in years. Reminds me of Little Richard in his prime.

I've never figured out how two of the guys that totally flipped out over the Gaslight Anthem could possibly believe there was something missing in the Jim Jones Revue.

I guess I should qualify my statement a bit and say that it's not that I think Little Richard is shitty or anything, but if I went the rest of my life never hearing a single note of his songs or artists that sound like him or even slightly remind me of him, I'd totally be okay with it.
