actually, tattoos about your child...their name, portrait, or prints make a hell of a lot more sense than just getting some shitty piece of art on your body.

The closest I ever came was a NY Yankee logo, but even then I would stop myself....I go to games; i have jerseys and t-shirts, I buy caps....Do I really need to go to that next step? Yanks know that they are forever in my heart....

I'm glad my father doesn't have my name tattooed on him. This is probably based half on what kind of man he is (not a bad father just not the type of person to have tattoos) and half on the idea of a father in general with the tattoo. I do think it's much better than the tribal bands or other such non sense. My mom was so upset when I got my first one when I was 19, and then again when my brother got one at 18. She's gotten used to it for the most part now.

picking something out of a flash book is not creative. thankfully, being a designer, I was able to design my sons name and stylize it the way i wanted, not rely on some book.
