i pick "vitalogy" for its higher highs, but "no code" is a close second and more consistent throughout. i think "vs", "ten" then "yield" after that. "yield" was the last solid PJ. after that, they eased into "classic alt rock" and have kinda bored me. the "into the wild" sdtrk was the best PJ-related album since "yield".

I agree that Binaural and Riot Act have more than their share of low points, but I came pretty close to naming 2006's self-titled album my favorite.

While no where near my favorite, Binaural is 10x better than Riot Act. Binaural had some really good highs whereas Riot Act was mostly lows.

Don't really like them anymore but maybe:

Better Man
Daughter
Do The Evolution
Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
Wishlist

I saw them on the Riot Act tour but I can't recall a thing about the show or the album other than the fact that Vedder wore the same Ramones shirt that I own.

Btw when did VS. get so much love. I never hear people within the PJ community talking about that record. Its always been my heart with them, but damn, its pretty impressive how many of you picked it.

I'm surprised that anyone could still pick "Daughter," "Evenflow," "Black," "Jeremy," "Alive," etc.

I've heard them enough for about sixteen lifetimes and I was only like 3 years old when they came out.

"Jeremy" and "Daughter" are definitely two of my least favorite PJ songs. "Better Man" is a close third. Generally the stuff that's been really played out.

However, as I mentioned earlier, "Evenflow" is actually still kind of fun and conjures up some pleasant nostalgia for me, somehow more than any of their other big singles.

And cemeterypolka -

I think Puddle of Mudd sounds more like a crappy Nirvana Rip-off than Pearl Jam.

Yeah I'm a pretty huge fan of theirs but I've never really gotten this one. To me it's sounds like a song that SNL would write to spoof them...like 15 years ago.

Probably the reason why it was a b-side and also why they were surprised it gained so much popularity.

Shut yo mouth on Dirty Frank. Its probably more of a nostalgia pick than anything. I still light however when I hear it.

Pearl Jam certainly doesn't have the talent of bands like Triac or Rectal Haemorrhage but I guess they'll have to do.

The fact that so many even like, much less rate as their favorite Vitalogy is exhibit A in bad fucking taste in music. That album is NIGH unlistenable.
