It reminds me a bit of Summer Sun actually.

Here To Fall is one of the best songs I've heard all year.

I've only listened to it once. I'll be honest, it was better than expected and I don't regularly listen to YLT. It has some great tracks and I will probably keep it around for those alone. It is definitely worth a listen or two more before making a final judgment.

Not my favorite of theirs. Makes me hesitate just a little.
I like them better when they have a bit of the rock (and upbeat pop) in them. And I like their more eclectic offerings — Electr-o-Pura and I Am Not Afraid Of You..., for example.

Yeah, we're definitely on the opposite sides of the fence here. I tend to dislike those exact two albums you mentioned and tend towards Painful, I Can Hear the Heart... etc. The new one is towards the slower tempo.

Agreed.

I don't like them when they mix it up. It's just too kitschy for me when they aim for that R&B sound or whatever they're driving at. They only do it with that silly double or triple song on this record. And it's silly.

They're at they're best when they aim for noisy -- if somewhat introverted -- rock and roll.

"here to fall" is excellent -- it's kinda got a gainsbourg-string thing goin on. i'm really enjoying this one as well. and i'm not sure i agree that this one isn't eclectic. it's got the pop songs, the slower songs as well as the long-ass noisy stuff.

I find it markedly different from their last album which I can barely sit through.

i'd agree only in that the songs are MUCH better this time 'round. i wasn't a huge fan of the last couple albums, save a few tunes here and there.

And The Glitter Is Gone is pretty massive. I've been enjoying this quite a bit

I couldn't agree more. I put on the last one this afternoon and clicked it off about half way through again. I have however spun Summer Sun a bunch of times this week.

can somebody up this?

the d/l i found cuts all the songs off early. unless that is some intentional horrible production decision.

I like Electropura by far the best. I like them when they are sounding more shoegazy (like blue line swinger). I haven't dug a ton of their more recent stuff.
