I should either start on a new mix or just print up the art work for an existing mix now.

So... who won? I doubt it was me.

I took some chances. I'm pretty sure they did nothing for me.

I didn't realise until halfway through the show how many nominated movies were based on real people.

Ray, The Aviator, Finding Neverland, Hotel Rwanda...

Not so many original stories this year.

Well, sorry Dreaded Marco, but it looks like we all owe the good Senator a mix.

I'll double check the totals in the morning, but I'm pretty certain that these are the final results:

LooGar - 17 (out of 24 categories)
Dreaded Marco - 16
Radcliffe - 13
Max - 12
Drinky Crow - 10
Spontaneous Poet - 10
Frostingspoon - 10
oddsbodkins - 10

And was it just me, or was that the single most boring, non-eventful Oscar telecast of all-time? I mean, I never expect it to be scintillating television, and there is a tradition of tight-assed ceremony to uphold, but still - this was boredom as a science. It gave circle jerks a bad name. Even Robin Williams read old material from a prepared script. Fack. Thankgod for good liquor.

At least it was done before 12.

Congrats Mr. GAR. A mix will be forthcoming.

Suhweet!! I fell asleep before it was over, but when I checked what won just a minute ago, I was pretty sure I had it made. I shoulda known Freeman would win as well. I told you, Clint has a standing threat against Academy voters.

That's the last time I enlist my "movie fanatic" brother for help in an Oscar pool. Had I used my own judgment, I wouldn't have won, but I would have gotten a couple more categories right. Seriously, it's all his fault.

The important thing to remember is not that the Senator won, but that the rest of you are all losers.

Haven't heard from Drinky or odds...I think Spoon said he was working up some kind of fine booze-based mix, but I am not entirely sure, do to over-imbibing said libations.

C'mon people!!

I wouldn't hold your breath. I'm still waiting on 2 or 3 mixes for winning last year's Oscar Pool :D

I'll get yours in the mail next week.

Are you ever going to reply to my PM or do I have to find a more creative way than mail to get this thing to you?

I've got a mix ready (had it for a little while actually) which I was gonna post in the mix forum when I could get the cover image uploaded somewhere.

It's a little, uh, "difficult", though, so you have to promise that you'll listen to the whole thing at least once when you get it.

Oh, and could you PM me your current mailing address?

Just for the record, I would like to state that I did PM LooGAR directly after he wowed us all with his multiple choice choosings. :P

Yeah, Stacey did PM right afterwards...which is why I think I din't get back to you...that was a crazy week in the land of Gar.
Also, my choices were anything but multiple choice, especially on major categories, I just knew the academy couldn't pass up Clint's newest over-acted snooze-a-thon, especially after Rads posted his and erronsously threw the big money on the deserving candidate: Marty Scorsese.

And Drinky, I love how I am known as a dude who will just dismisss shit out of hand. That post cracked me up. I'll PM you my addy this week.

That's not at all what I meant. Most people probably wouldn't want to listen to this mix all the way through. I didn't really create the mix as a joke, but I intentionally tried to make it pretty obnoxious.

Anyway, you'll see what I mean when you get it.
