Surprisingly good. I wish the lead geetar was a little up in the mix and slightly dirtier, but it still adds nicely to the vocal hook. And, like others have said, Toots did a good job on the vox. Sounds like a natural enough singer that he doesn't have to try to hit the right notes and instead just sings.

Edit: I'd give it 2.5 stars, so rounded up to 3

The more I listen to this mix, the more I think it's kinda a mess.
You see, THIS is why I post these things on the internet before I'm sure they're ready. The sound of the stream is sufficiently different that it allowed me to hear things that I hadn't heard before.

I took my notes, removed the song, and am taking it back for remixing.
Not so sure that I would have heard these things without the streaming audio available. (And without all of you giving it a listen as well, thanks!)

pretty catchy song. the vocals are hot. there are some instances of the rhythm needing to get a bit tightened up (ie the guitar at the beginning of the song is a bit behind the beat, drums are a bit shaky at times). but yeah, good song.

I listened to this earlier today several times in a row. I pretty much echo robotboy's critique. There was some looseness to the mix, but honestly, it wasn't distracting enough to ruin the song for me in any way. I'd say a 3.5, but since that option isn't there I ended up giving it a 4.

Thanks.
It needs to be a 5 -- at least in my eyes.
