Is it wrong that I hate every one of these songs? Not hate per se, but a general disdain. I just think more in albums than in singles I think...

I wasn't aware that I was voting for the one that I'm least burned out on. My bad.

Pretty weak.

I've never understood the appeal of that Outkast song.

It wasn't even a hit at all here, and to my ears is one of their weaker songs.

i think they did a good job with the top 50, but it's pretty pointless to make a list like this (top 500?) save the discussion aspect.

The fact that you voted Hey Ya though is preposterous. The Rate was written about you.

Also, IN SLUM NATIONAL! Outkast defined the fucking decade before the towers even fell. Also - just fucking TRY to keep up with that flow when you're drunk.

Rat is #2, Hey Ya at #3.

Went with Heartbeats - The Knife but could have gone with "The Rat". I like the top 20. i thought their top 500 was pretty good (obviously it was missing a bunch of songs i really liked).

All valid points. I would also accept "Ghetto Musick" off that Big Boi album as a main anthem.

This is about as relevant as Promethium saying "It wasn't a hit in Nebraska"

the list was pretty decent for the most part, apart from all the animal collective/panda bear

top 20 is mostly good too, good choice on 'heartbeats'. 'all my friends' is prob the best here, but i would imagine it only makes sense if youve indulged in certain substances

alot of songs i thought would make this kind of list are missing, things like Booka Shade - In White Rooms, The Killers - Read My Mind, a bunch of remixes etc

True. One of the first, if not the first, songs I heard on commercial radio after I got back from Romania. It was... mesmerizing.

That said, I almost went for "One More Time". How the f is that song at zero (0) votes?

As the Dreaded Marco note, "Maps" is missing from the poll.
