So St Bernards are "gentle" and "protective towards children". Don't think so.

As a result of a Cujo style attack back in '84, I have a 12 stitch scar across my right bicep to disprove the above theory.

Calm and sturdy, these dogs make peaceful, noble, and affectionate companions. Cheerful with the family but reserved with strangers. They are natural vegetarians but convert to a meat diet quite esily.

very cool dog, btw... kind of a brindled version of a bloodhound... cooler markings and colors.
