I got on the Spoon bandwagon pretty late (Kill The Moonlight was my first of theirs) so maybe that's the reason but I totally agree with this statement. I keep expecting to be totally sick of Spoon by the next album but I usually end up liking it more than the last.

But Daniel, Eno, bassist Rob Pope and keyboardist Eric Harvey also convened at Rare Book Room studio in Brooklyn, N.Y. where Daniel had previously produced the White Rabbits with Nicolas Vernhes, who's also know for his work with Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Fiery Furnaces and many others. "I liked how fast things went," Daniel says. "We don't have really a history of going fast when we're running it ourselves."

I think Jm Eno is vastly underrated, and almost as crucial to the band as Daniels.

Written in Reverse was on a couple of bootlegs from last year, it wasn't my favorite of the new stuff.

this gets streamed on NPR next week, so a leak or a least a webrip is guaranteed before I actually go out and purchase a record.

Whoa - I'll be interested in how long this ones takes to sink its hooks into me. It's like they decided to strip everything back to the essentials yet again, kind of like they did with KTM except this sounds like the album that could've come after A Series Of Sneaks.
