NJ Governors race is going right down to the wire. They're in a statistical dead heat as of now. I'll be out casting my vote for Dagget and laughing when Corzine gets his sorry ass voted out of office.

that's some crazy stuff goin' on in that state.

Tell me about it. Our tax burden per capita has gone up 21% during this last term, which is all I needed to hear to make my decision.

A vote for Daggett is a vote for Corzine. If you want him gone, hold you nose and vote for Chris Christie.

Or, van Landingham could move to North Carolina & vote for this REAL MERKIN in 2010.

You should work this campaign, Dave.

I voted today---against your proposed trade in the Obner FF league.

You're trading the #8 QB in the NFL for the #78 receiver, now clearly the #2 WR on his team (possibly #3) and the overall 4th receiving option (w/ Witten and the RBs in the mix). Not a good move, TJ---Nacho is fleecing you here. You do realize that every WR and TE on your roster other than Lance Moore has outperformed R. Williams thus far this season, right?

Not to mention, Nacho is nipping at my heels for the #1 spot in the league :) Seriously, though, this is not a smart trade for you

Not entirely true. Most stats indicate that Dagget is more likely to take votes away from Corzine than from Christie.

And I don't really think Christie's all that bad, but he's just been way too vague about his plans for my tastes. Still not 100% decided about my vote yet anyway.

FYI:

• The Daggett Number: Depending on which poll you believe, independent Chris Daggett is either faltering or standing strong. The Democracy Corps (D) poll put Daggett at 15 percent while the Monmouth/Gannett survey had him at eight percent. It's become clear that Daggett voters who peel off from the independent are going to Christie more than Corzine so the lower Daggett slips, the better chance the Republican has to win.

I heard Christie was interviewed for the Times and was asked what his plan actually IS for getting their debt under control, and the answer was along the lines of "everybody breaks their campaign promises so I won't even make any" ie, "we'll figure it out once we get in there," ie "I donno just vote for me plzkthx"

Warner is on my bench doing nothing and Flaco's bye week is past. At least R. Williams has a prayer of making a roster spot.

Plus I hate Kurt Warner. 11 interceptions is ridiculous.

I do not have a friend that has had a good experience drinking this. Ever. I did it once, on a Friday, got in a few fights, slept through most of the weekend, and was sweating mint at the Gym on Monday. And Tuesday.

Yeah he's been vague, but at least he has a pretty good record as a state prosecutor, and he's not Jon Corzine. I'm pretty sure a 5 year old kid could do a better job than him.

He told us 4 years ago that he would lower property taxes, and that doing so would be the focus of his time in office. Since then however, our property taxes have actually INCREASED and he took away our property tax rebate checks to boot. The average household pays a whopping $8,000 per year in property taxes. Our tax burden per capita increased by 21%, we're now ranked 50th in the nation in business taxes, funding to higher education, police, and local municipalities was CUT, and he increased the sales tax from 6-7% saying that the increase would go to help property taxes (which it did NOT).

Makes me sick thinking about all of it.

Cannot even tell you how cool this was in person. The crowd was going crazy. The entire night was epic. 3.5 hour show/40+ songs/tons of rarities.

Oh I haven't. 150 state political corruption convictions is no small number, especially considering the crooks we have.

No, no -- I meant his ability to politicize the prosecutor's office. He was on the medium-list to get cut when the Bush White House was purging "uncooperative" US att'ys but dude got religion (enough) to stave elimination.

The board's guitarists might find this interesting. This seems like something I may want to exchange currency for when I start working on a few guitar project ideas.
