I really didn't like their first one much but I'm digging this on first listen.

Been digging this, and to be honest I hated the first one when it hit. I been listening to that though in addition to this one, and I've really softened on my stance.

Its not a band I'm gonna go crazy over, but I appreciate what they're doing. They make really catchy songs that are in my head all day.

Ditto for Surfer Blood, so far from what I've heard. The hype is the only thing wrong - they're fine middle of the road bands, but they're being lauded as something else, which may be more of a reflection of the other shit out there than anything else.

That's where I read it. I guess living in Malibu does not = famous. At the time I read that article I figured the pic was Elizabeth Shue but she's too old now and anyway it could be anyone.


That article really says nothing about the picture.
