I can't find the original journal article that apparently was just published by the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, but three reputable sources are reporting it:

In summary, a healthy diet reduces your risk of overall cancer across a lifetime by a whopping two and a half percent; but there are modest cardiovascular benefits apparently.

...although I'd like to read the article before I rely on media interpretation.

i know right. trust me i can drink the WHOLE can of pop.

It's poison, even in First/Business Class. I NEVER eat prepared food on any airline. My personal menu on long flights (as in, international) is a carry-on pound bag of M & M's, whatever fresh fruit and crackers they have on board, and as much red wine as I can consume. And muscle relaxers.

The last thing we need in these dire times is a sense of humor.

If you like Korean food, the food on Korean Air is actually pretty decent.

But, of course, unless you're flying to Korea or somewhere else in East Asia, you'll probably never fly on Korean Air.

Now that you mention it, a trip to Seoul a couple years ago on KAL may be the last time I ate plane food. Their noodles were pretty good, as I recall, although the broth was of indeterminate origin. Also, the flight attendants are better than any other airline I've flown. And hot.

my issues are with the MARKETING of "healthy" food and the fact that people are becoming so self concious about "healthy" meals. can we just sit down and eat decent food and enjoy a conversation that does not include the word anti-oxidant?

and unless those shopping bags at whole foods are printed in soy based inks they may be toxic and unable to be recycled. i have to admit i have not looked into it.
