Good tune.

I just want to point out that I never said it was the best punk record in the past 5-10 years. My vote for that still goes to Toys That Kill - Control the Sun.

Dig the Off. Not sure on the hyperbole, but it is a rare solid outing from some old hands that are dredging up the old style sounds so I 'm into it.

Sorry guys, got all excited about y'all hyping the Brokedowns, but then I watched the YouTube clip and was seriously underwhelmed. I mean taste is taste, just did about nothing for me.

I'll probably try that Toys That Kill eventually and see how that sounds.

While I do like that tune (as I said), there are songs on the earlier album that severely kick my ass ("Coke Mule Blues", "Brains", Pro-Gear, and a couple of others) that you should probably hear before dismissing the band.

Here is a live take on "Brains", that I just found (and should have posted first:

YouTube blocked at work, but I'll check it out later. Other clip to me just kind of went middle ground between not being heavy/trashy enough to be fun in that way, but not melodic or catchy enough to be enjoyed in the other direction. But hey, just my initial reaction to one tune and just my personal taste.

OK, from what i've heard of Toys That Kill, they're definitely a decent band. not great, but decent.

still no real argument against me calling OFF! the best punk rock release in the past 5-10 years. it's not hyperbole, because it is.

I'm pretty sure a boy said that about a wolf once.

I'm loving that Ex Humans album that Pete Roach posted in the twentyten thread back in October.

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44903&p=866962&hilit=ex+humans#p866962

Link still looks active.

Or a band with "wolf" in their name.

I was never a TTK fan. I do like Underground Railroad to Candyland though.

edit to add their new song:

Wanna know how to get me to buy music and not just steal it online?

Release your album as 4 singles with a shitload of artwork by Ray Pettibon.

Pre-ordered.
