What!?

I don't practice or acknowledge any religion. Our household celebrates x-mas cause my wife is Catholic and it's all for the kids anyways.
We are attending an x-mas party, not hosting one...We are cleaning the house cause our 3 year old is a real live mini tornado.

Pretty much, although I saw it in an "UltraAVX" theatre so it sounded great, which is important since it's basically a two hour Daft Punk video.

I'm gonna try out a new style of making wings (starting them in the deep fryer/then finishing them on the grill) that Busty was telling me about.

So how'd they work out?

They were really fucking excellent. I almost called you to see if you thought they did any kind of seasoning in between the fryer and grill; I knew I didn't want to get them wet before the grill because that's just a burnt sticky mess but I considered maybe a rub down with some Emeril's or similar.

In the end I went naked, until they came off the grill then did my normal process of shaking them in a bowl with Frank's and melted butter and they were more or less perfect. The grilling adds a whole new level of texture and flavor but they still have the crispiness that a wing should.

In the future I might do a rub in between the fry and grill just to shake it up (I was thing a 5 spice rub and then my spicy Asian sauce might be pretty fucking good)

Thanks again for the tip!

Nothing like food porn. Dem WILFS!

I ate monkfish liver at lunch yesterday. Headed to Les Halles for brunch.

I celebrated my birthday on Friday. I selected a beer (De Molen Amarillo) for a tapping party in my honor at a local brew pub, made cakes for a local rock n roll garage sale that took place that evening and went to a birthday show for a local musician.

I went grocery shopping and briefly ventured into a crowded Best Buy store on Saturday afternoon and went to see Tron Legacy in 3D last night. I didn't think it sucked. It was generally on par with the first movie, which makes it a mediocre Sci-fi film with great effects and imagery.

I'm doing laundry and heading out to another birthday party at the brew pub tonight if the weather isn't too bad.
