that's the thing - most of us go to shows because we like a band enough to go see them on a night out. i just figure that with enough people and enough bands, the odds have to lean toward maybe one person being a band's favorite, especially in a home town as was pointed out earlier. i also go to many shows alone, which gives me the opportunity to observe people and make assumptions like this.
