I don't give a shit who plays the Warped Tour. I'm not going, but good for those guys for trying something new and reaching out to a different audience. Getting mad at a band for playing Warped is like blaming them for playing to Coachella, or those dumb pool parties in Brooklyn. I salute the endeavor, but count me out.

Also, it's funny that everyone who purports to be all about the RAWK are the ones who love those two bands in particular. I personally find it bland, and I tend to listen to shit that's a lot blander than the average Obnerian. Maybe they learned to write better lyrics, but I'm not sure about writing better songs. To me it sounds like they learned how to write songs much closer to those of their contemporaries. But the actual songs sound like minivan hipster rock to me.

and i'm saying they've blanded it up. if that's what they are going for, then good for them. they'll make great salesmen for monster energy drink. i'm not judging it. it is what it is. which is bland.

I knew this would come back to Cats (wrongly) thinking that Lifter Puller is better than Hold Steady. Or something.

the only thing that has changed is who likes those bands.
