Ok, seriously considering coming down there to see my lady friend the weekend of Soundland.

I really would like to take in JEFF the Brotherhood, but the Soundland site says "TBA" for date and venue. Any idea of when they're playing?

Anyone, anyone.....

Looks like the schedule is pretty much together. I'll probably be going to the Jason Isbell / Justin Townes Earle show on the 23rd at Cannery Ballroom and the event at the Outdoor Stage on Sat. the 24th which includes JEFF and the Apache Relay.

Stu, you think you'll be at either of those shows?

Yeah, but the Soundland weekend just happened to coincide with a good weekend for me to come down and see my friend.

Got our tix for JTE / Jason Isbell, so it's definitely a go.

Stone, it doesn't look like I'm making it out to the JTE/Isbell show as I have work stuff to do across town at another Soundland show. What other shows are you planning on catching?

new EP, Hypnotic Knights, has dropped. Full album comes out July 17.

Code:

Last time I saw them live, they were playing out with a full band now (2nd guitar [William Tyler], bass, keys), but that was when they were covering Hawkwind's "Master of the Universe". Heard on SiriusXMU that Jake broke his hand so they had to cancel their dates with Best Coast.

Still sounding like early Weezer high on weed/punk.

I should prolly give this a spin. Terrible, terrible name, though.

Shows what my word is good for. I have yet to check out JEFF, although to derail the thread again, I'm def digging these last 2 Pujol records.

Saddle Creek seems like a strange fit, but I really want to hear his recent stuff.

Pretty meh performance. So far, I'm not digging the full band setup.

Enjoying the new one, but wow, gotta be the cheesiest lyrics ever. Dude makes Paul Banks of Interpol sound like Yeats.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer already, but these guys are worth seeing live right? They are playing a new venue up the street from me on 5/15. It's only $10 and I'm curious about checking out the venue anyways. This seems like a perfect show to do it.

Yes, you know the answer. What could possibly go wrong?
