i just dont have a horse in this. on one hand, its the packers and im conditioned to loathe them. on the other hand, a rapist is manning the ship of the steelers. i can only hope they all die in hilarious fashion

It just doesn't seem like the Super Bowl.

The Packers lost so many key players and close clutch games every other week,
I didn't think they'd make it through the first round of the playoffs.
But so many mediocre teams choked this year. The Packers, among them, somehow skirted through.

I hope the Packers win, but it's a fluke secondary to a lot of failed opportunities by better teams.

And who gives a shit about the Steelers? They can win, or lose, or die, or not show up. No one outside of Pittsburgh cares about this team...until you remind them a convicted rapist plays the leadership role.

I think I was more excited about the Super Bowl last year when I had no interest in either team.

Another Bore Bowl.

I'd be more interested in a stoning of Roethlisberger.

It's cute that you guys think that the only bad people in the NFL are Roethlisberger and Mike Vick.

Well this thread got negative quickly.

I think this is going to be a great game, regardless of whom you're rooting for. I admit I dislike the steelers, but that's mostly based on one obnoxious old lady who frequents my usual bar. I'd rather see them in the super bowl than New England. Too bad they are going to be humiliated by the pack.

I will say that right now I don't really care, but that I will be rooting for the Packers solely due to sticking it to Favre and the fact that former husker Brandon Jackson is on that team. I really don't have anything against the Steelers, I just don't really want to see them win again anytime soon, especially with Roethisberger leading the team again.

Go Team Go!

Does that warm your Chicago-loving twat?
I'm sorry your pussy is bruised from getting handed an embarrassing loss from a rival team at half strength.
what's new?

I know a lot of people from Chicago.
The recurrent problem/theme/excuse for their lack of success seems to be a lack of focus.
Maybe it's the big city without decent reference or constructive feedback..
Delusional in their own little world?
Maybe with your insight, your favorite fuck-up Chicago team can finally succeed!

Every organization needs an irrelevant prick throwing irrational ideas out of left field?

But I'm pretty sure the Bears got their asses handed to them with Cutler wearing the dress...
..And sucked the rest of those little turds down the drain...
I hope Cutler is back next year. Faith on Failure.
How can you repeatedly coddle a turd? The guy is not a professional nor has he any interest in being an NFL quarterback.
Dumb motherfuckers running that organization.

Go Pack.

Actually, the blackhawks are pretty good. Other than that, I agree with Jerkass

I've become borderline obsessed with moving to the West Coast just so I can watch sporting events three hours earlier, but in this case, my kid goes to bed roughly the same time as the SB starts; advantage: me.

Redlands West, Humboldt County has a nice ring to it.

I'd have to live in a couple of refrigerator boxes if I was within 100 miles of a major city on the WC; shit is expensive.

But hey, the next Big Score is either just around the corner or within imagining distance so you just never know.

Line is GB -3 here. I really like the Pack, but that .5 point scares the shit out of me.

I was thinking we could go Beverly Hills Cop 2-style and openly steal an unoccupied mansion.

I don't really care who wins. I actually kind of dislike both teams. I'm going to be watching it in a house full of rabid Packer fans so I'll probably pull for Pittsburgh.

If I were wagering I'd take the Steelers +3.

Nerves are kicking in. I don't remember them being this bad in 96/97 & 97/98. Ugh.
