So, his reports with firfighters after 911 are opinion because he asked questions about how they "felt" instead of just reporting that planes were flown into the towers?
Nice cheap shot. I don't think anyone's said
everything Rather's done was politically motivated or biased. There's nothing wrong with interviewing folks, and asking for their feelings.

Who the FUCK ever said tha a network anchor is a journalist.
I do. They report the news. They're not hosting an op/ed forum, they're reporting the news. As the top newsperson for their network, they absolutely should be held to the highest standard. Rather consistently failed this standard. And his network's credibility has been destroyed because of it.

he told the truth to the best of his ability.
Certainly calls into question his best "ability".
Funny how the dude was always "hard hitting", holding no punches when it was confronting the Nixons, Reagans, and Bushes. Yet when talking to the Clintons, all of the allegations were "unfair", or his "hard-hitting" stance would miraculously soften.
If you're going to be the hard hitting guy, hit everyone hard. When it's patently partisan, you're nothing more than a hypocrite.
