If the Stars have a good showing tonight at the Caps, I'll be pretty convinced they are legit and in for a solid season.

I think its safe to say that the Caps spectacular fall from grace overshadows Dallas' current troubles.

Only because Neuwirth's been in goal.

Oh. no no no no. haha. It has little to do with Neuvirth.

I couldn't believe it when they resigned him and I hope they trade him away because Semin is a cancer on that team and has been for at least two years.

I was a fan of Semin--even have a jersey, but I'm at the point where the Caps should definitely be looking to shake things up.

Even better: first/second line was Ovechkin Laich Semin. (Who cares if it's not grammatically correct?)

Caps fire Bruce Boudreau. Can't say I didn't see it coming.

Dale Hunter named Interim coach.

If you're a Sabres fan you'll love him. He's a rookie, possible Calder candidate, outscored the highly touted John Tavares in the World Juniors. He's the kind of guy who shows up when the going gets tough. He'll probably be the Sabres team captain two years from now. This city is in shock that he's gone - Gillis has a big set of balls to trade him. I hope this Kassian kid can deal with the pressure, because it's already huge.

im hugely disappointed Hodgson is gone, and shocked. He was to be the future of this club, great skill set, great vision, makes our second power play unit tough, and good in the clutch. Buffalo got a good one. I see what Gillis is trying to do, he doesnt want us to get pushed around again in the playoffs, but gooning it up isnt our game. We kill people with skill and our power play, like Detroit - just disappointed.

What a shocker. As a Sabres fan, I'm really psyched about Hodgson. Kassian could well turn into the next Bertuzzi, but if he does it will probably not be for a few more years. Hodgson seems ready now, and is probably the safer bet.

that got a little silly.
certainly easier to take a game like that when you are rooting for the team that is up 3-0

Should we expect another riot in Vancouver if the top seeded Canucks get swept out of the first round of the NHL Playoffs?

No. Just ritual sacrifice of Roberto Luongo. They'll burn him adjacent a pyre of BC Gold.
