Seeing them on the Monster tour (w/ Radiohead opening, right around the release of The Bends) was my first big, ticketed concert. Had a blast, wrote about it and got free tix to their show a month later in Ann Arbor.
16 years later, not a lot has changed.

Glad to have seen them a couple times, like lots of most of their records.
Wish them all well.

Threw it on this morning. Amazing how I started dancing around like I did in high school in the '80s.

My uncle and I were hanging at a local skatepark with Jeff Ament and Mark Arm yesterday. Jeff checked his Blackberry and told us about the breakup. We then had a discussion about how they were big influences on us. It was the coolest way I've ever gotten bad news.

During their show last night, Eddie Vedder gave a little tribute to the band, and they played "I Don't Sleep, I Dream".

A friend of mine made me a 30-song mix of "great" songs that weren't the singles. I've come to the conclusion that I just don't care for this band. They have like 5 amazing songs I dig and whole lotta tolerable alt. rock/pop.

my favorite band. could do without reveal and around the sun but evrything else is 4 or 5 stars
