I'm super-late on this since I haven't been on Obner much this year but have to chime in.

Where You Been is my personal favorite but there are sort of two different eras you should consider. The 80's stuff was when Lou Barlow was in the band and I think it's significantly different than the rest. It's the most innovative and interesting musically and YLAOM and Bug are definitely considered Dino's best and most classic.

The 90's stuff is great but sounds like a lot of the Alternative/Grunge (if I dare) stuff from the decade. It was J solo basically and was more commercially-leaning I think. They sort of had the same trajectory from the 80's through the 90's as the Meat Puppets and Screaming Trees I guess.
