As a braves fan I'm completely terrified that Smoltz won't hold up as a starter and will fuck his arm up. Few if any pitchers have been able to go from 70 innings in a year to over 200 and not get hurt at some point. I hope I'm wrong.

I'd be more concerned about the back end of your rotation: John Thompson and Fellacio Ramirez -- lightning don't strike twice, only once. Smoltz, meanwhile, will be fine. Trust in Mazzone. He's had Smoltz since '91, they know each other like Pagoda and his wife.

Great, right on schedule.

P.S. I was glad to see Clement go. He wasn't worth that much, and he was complete horseshit in the second half.

I don't see any reason to be worried about Ramirez, he's been great when he's healthy.

Same with Thompson, I think he's a solid starter. I agree with Derris, I think Smoltz is more of a question mark then people seem to think. I hope he does well but I'm concerned that the big increase in innings is going to wear him down.
