Ohh, sorry, I wasn't sighing about that. Just one of those "damn, I'm tired" sighs.

Supposedly, in my culture, brandy is the cure-all for ailments, especially those of the throat variety. And I'm not drinking either! Nosirree, that stuff will kill me if I drink it straight.

I hear ya...I don't know what variety I'm from, except the cure-all has always been booze, booze and more booze. Ironically.... in the little known c. factoids, my mother was a Roman Catholic nun for 17 years. She probably would have preferred that I didn't have meat for dinner.

Whoa! A nun? That's crazy! Did she become a nun after you were born or was she one before? And, no worries, my mother who sent me to 12 years of Catholic school, also wished I hadn't eaten meat today. My dad (the alcoholic of the family) also preferred the booze remedy for everything. Unfortunately, it eventually killed him.

Nope, no Agnes of God, she converted to the secular ways after she met my dad, the ultimate converter, apparantly he's got some mojo. She's still pretty RC in terms of rules. Fortunately she's pretty cool about the heathen children. I have to give her some observance for not giving me a 'hell speech'.

It's 10pm, should I start my drinking? Maybe a couple..

i would just like to say that xiu xiu makes excellent backround music for getting drunk with the bartender/booker/owner. yay.

Tania, if it makes you feel any better, I spent most of my week taking care of my son who had Scarlet Fever. Yup. It was the effect of a different Strep virus. That wasn't fun. Poor little guy was miserable. So just be careful and if your throat still hurts like a bitch get it checked out.

Onto the alcohol subject, bought a 6 dollar bottle of Yellow Tail Merlot yesterday and we drank it last night. It tasted realy damn good. I had to work almost 11 hrs yesterday and have to do the same today. I'm at work already. ick.

I'm friggin exhausted.

Oh gosh, Jen, how's little Charlie doing now? Is he much better? That sounds scary!

And if my throat still hurts after the weekend, I'll make an appointment with the doctor. *sigh*
