Natural Child "Hard in Heaven"
Sean Hayes "Before We Turn to Dust"

thoughts on each?

Natural Child is unsurprisingly more of the same as the other disc they put out this year. Sloppy, energetic, stoners-do-Chuck Berry. Not much more to it than that, but fun while it plays.

Sean Hayes I like more than I expected. Kind of like a folk singer mistakenly wandered in front of a slinky soul band, a little reminiscent of Josh Rouse on his 1972 album. Might yet be a grower, but there is at least one song that straight up annoys the shit out of me.

I've casually followed Sean Hayes for the last couple of years, and have been meaning to give it a try

Agreed on Natural Child. They're a fun band for reg rock fans, but nothing I fawn over.

Never, ever gets old. An all time favorite for sure.
