pretty safe to say, that Sunbather will be my run-away favorite record of 2013....nothing is even close, and there are some great records from this year....

I don't even listen to metal and this is absolutely going to be in my top 5 for the year. Totally emotional, brutal and beautiful all at the same time.

Ok speaking of Sleeper Agent, they owe Keef some fucking royalties for "Shuga Cane." Same key, same chorus melody line... too close guys. You have to disguise it a little better.

...and now the chorus of Love Blood (the very next song) starts off just like Heart of Glass... damn, kids.

Is this a father/daughter thing? Seriously, that little girl looks like she should be singing for Radio Disney.

Yeah I like the other Surf City EPs that I have heard. That Sleeper Agent is cool too.

I was curious so I googled it, the "little girl" is 25 and the "father" is 38

in my search I also learned that she has a law degree, and a masters in journalism

hey, the took the room full of reverb off the singer's voice. I've been hoping they'd do that.

I'm liking this one more that the first album, but still like that EP best.

I'm loving this album:

Saw this yesterday. Listen a bunch at work today. Really like the new stuff on the album...the previous singles were already golden.

^ that Chvrches thing sounds like one of those "emperor has no clothes" deals. Like, I feel like I'm being put on.

I think I like technical death metal now?

The albums from Portal, Gorguts, and Ulcerate have been kicking my ass this year.

Not sure how this happened!

So this song comes on the college radio station last night, and I say out loud "holy fuck this song is fucking terrible," then wince and hope my daughter didn't hear me. Or the song. Because it is fucking terrible. And then they announce it's the new Blitzen Trapper single, and I conclude that Furr was the one good song (great song, frankly) they had in them, and I found myself hoping they pass quickly and quietly into oblivion.

Yeah, I couldn't delete that new Blitzen Trapper album fast enough. Sounds like Pablo Cruise trying to cover the Grateful Dead.
