I think that is why so many people disliked Kerry - you could tell he was hiding his true beliefs, in fear of losing moderate votes. Kerry is a pretty liberal guy, and I think his obvious pretending that he wasn't hurt him even more than his voting record. I think a lot of people would have respected him much more if he'd been honest about his views.

I am proud to be a socialist (albeit one who likes free trade). And you hit it on the head. I did work for Athens for Dean. I even had one of this ecinference call parties at my house. I loathe the modern democratic party and hope for change. Of course the economic theory of hotelling says this will never happen. Alright I am now worn out complaining about this crap.
