Absolutely love the older episodes.

But this one fell a little flat. I think it does have a bit to do with Fox forcing them to tone it down a little bit. Screw them.

I'm sure it'll pick up over the next few episodes.

Where the heck is Puma in this thread? Surprised she hasn't weighed in on this yet.

AD is not cancelled, and won't be. It's all a matter of whether or not Fox orders more episodes. They tend not to cancel shows, but just not pick them up any farther.

in regards to Family Guy: It's totally plausible that it's just not a funny anymore to watch 7,429 pop culture refernces crammed into a somewhat flat plot. I mea, it's capable of throwing in some really good laughs in there, but it seems like they decide what they want to reference and then try to string it all together with whatever plot they can come up with. I laughed, but I spent more time waiting for the jokes, you know?

American Dad was def. better than the pilot, but still pretty meh. I actually fell asleep watching it, and I wasn't even that tired.

I missed Tom Goes to the Mayor, but I'm willing to bet it was funnier than both of those put together. I'm sure they'll air it again at midnight sometime this week.

the crappiest TV i really watch is SVU reruns, and i don't even really watch them. though i'm sure it helps during playoffs time.

i was all excited about the prospect of tivoing this season of chapelle show before i realized 4 seconds later that they're pretty much going to reduce comedy central to the chapelle-and-daily-show channel 24/7.

American Dad just really feels like a watered-down Family Guy. The characters look the same, some sound the same, and I mean... a talking animal that has the hots for the mom. Haven't we already been there?

So is last night's lineup going to be the regular lineup from now on? If so, I don't understand. They cut back the Arrested episode order to air American Dad but they're going to air two episodes of the Simpsons? They could easily have had both shows on and get rid of the crappy Simpsons repeats.

The only shows I really watch out of interest are King of The Hill and Arrested/Family. All the others are lame.

Family Guy was funny. I'm still worried that it is going to be toned down for Fox though.

American Dad continues to be inexplicably horrible.

I've watched Family Guy episodes here and there, but never on a regular basis. I did watch this one though and thought the opening bit was hilarious, but overall was a little meh.

When did it start to lag behind? I thought it was pretty good all the way through and you're all just echoing each other because you're all homos.

The Pinnochio bit is the only thing i remember from Family Guy, which is fine cause it was good and wrong. American Dad on the other hand was jam packed with cool stuff.

"The Boss is being a real C-U-Next-Tuesday. " How the Hell did they get away with that?

On the whole i think it's more controversial than Family Guy which may or may not be a good thing.

Simpsons sucked, not that that's news or anything...

I just lost a bit of interest after the first half of Family Guy, but again, I've never been a huge fan of the show.

Does anyone miss Futurama? 'cause I do.
