05/05/05 I will be at the Old 97s show.

Me and the Cap'N are playing our weekly gig tomorrow bight. But that's the ONLY reason that I'd go out for Cinco de Drunk Mexicano.

Who am I bullshitting, I remember being at a mexican restaurant last year with Derris and a bunch of other people and getting shit canned while listening to a kick ass mariachi(?) band. Dat fun!

i am a big proponent of the Amateur Night theory, i'm just saying that i'm not sure that Cinco de Mayo on a Thursday really counts unless you're headed to ChiChi's or something for a frozen margaritta. The theory always applies on new years, however.

It's my birthday tomorrow and my girlfriend has some kind of surprise in store for me. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy my 05/05/05.

It will be my birthday, as well as Phil's AKA epa. I seem to remember there was three or four (maybe 5) CMJ birthdays on May 5th. 05/05/05 won't come around for another thousand years, but I don't think it has any special suprises in store for me. I'll probably meet up with a few freinds for birthday drinks. Unfortunately, no repeat of last year's birthday celebration

it's my girlfriend's mom's birthday as well, who is turning 50. in an even more bizarre turn is that her birth time is 5:55 PM.

I'm going to wake up, eat some breakfast, go to work for a while, trade in some CDs at Zia Records at lunch, go back to work for another four hours or so, then take my wife to the eye doctor, get some pizza, and then go home again, watch some TV, and finally sleep. Toss in some bathroom breaks here and there, too, and probably some time spent perusing this fine internet destination, among others.

I might follow Cotton's lead and get a sixer of Tecate and drink drank drunk.

On a side note:

Cinco de Mayo isn't really Mexican Independence Day. It is a celebration of a minor battle victory that was fairly inconsequential. Mexico doesn't celebrate it like we do. They have another day that is considered Independence Day. 5 May is an Americaniized celebration... So you might as well drink Budweiser.

between Cinco de Mayo and the end of school for the roomies, I have a feeling that Thurs. might get a bit out of hand.... However, I'm planning on being very tired tomorrow night anyways...

that's what i'll be doing. i was fuckin pissed that i waited around to watch it last week and it didn't even show b/c of that dumbass. so i need my fix of the o.c.

for once on a holiday, i don't think i'm going to drink just b/c of what's been going on the past few days. i need a moment of clarity.
