Aw, thanks. Nope, it's regular-old. I've been keeping a secondhand eye out for it for ages and ages and finally gave in and asked my LRS to order it. Which they say they have, but it's been like three weeks so far with no luck.

if you've never heard it try not to let the production throw you off too much. I thought it was too distracting to get any enjoyment out of when i first heard it, but i think the same holds true for almost anything recorded in the mid-80s and me. Or it's just me. either way, it's a great album.

Are you sure that its actually coming out? I saw it advertised in the Best Buy circular from yesterday, but last I heard, they were postponing its release until a few weeks before season 3, which we all now know is an uncertainty.

Yup... it leaked about 2 weeks ago, so it's done & ready. Amazon still has tomorrow as the release date. Target is advertising $12.

I don't know what the hell I was typing when I put $12. It's $26, but it's out!

Hell yeah! That's on the top of my list. Heard it a couple of months back when my record store was playing an advance and I've been trying to sit patiently till today. Probably pick up a couple of copies to help spread the word.

AMG already has a write up. Teaser: ""Shout Out Louds' debut record Howl Howl Gaff Gaff is a blast of sparkling energy from start to finish and a contender for best out of the blue debut of the 2005."

Coming to Lawrence, Ks June 2 with the Dears. Can't wait.

The only song I've had to go by is 'Very Loud'. I actually bought it on iTunes because I didn't want to wait for the release date to have it. Something I rarely do.

Unfortunately, I now work on Tuesdays, so I'll have to wait another day to get it.

Any info on the Shout Out Louds? Sample .mp3's or RIYL? It's only 11 bucks at Best Buy, but I already had the Hold Steady and Sleater-Kinney in hand. So, I figured I'd hold off until I hear more.

It appears their web site has 4-5 of the songs from the album available to stream.

So far, sounds kind of mellow Strokes-y.

Cool album art on all of their stuff.

I'm bad at RIYL's, but 'Very Loud' makes my head bob. It's poppy and sweet (see, I suck at this) and I've heard the entire album is as such all the way through.

Didn't get Sleater-Kinney, my local HMV sold out....the single copy that they received. Also couldn't find that special edition dvd of Man on Fire.

Did get that 3cd Stereolab comp, Stars and Joy Division.

Did anyone else get the new Lucero? I didn't buy it but downloaded it last night and listened to it today. The War is a fucking great song.
