Oh I saw that, but there was a nice bit of condescension in that line as well.

No probs. folks like a lot of stuff I don't. :D

Lame new age wannabe commercial jingles. I can't even like it ironically.

One of my favorite albums, even today.

Particularly "The Oh Of Pleasure"

If the worst albums you guys have ever owned are by the Doors and Fiery Furnaces you've never owned truly bad stuff. I guess that's a compliment.

This is my favourite album by Crash Test Dummies. To each their own, it seems.

I also as well too like the Dummies.

They're precious as bunnies, but I like 'em.

Oddly enough, that one is definitely in my top ten for worst albums I've heard this decade.

I'm hopelessy unhip.

Khanate, Things Viral

I got the first album, but I didn't remember it being this bad. And I usually like sludgecore, or whatever you want to call it.

I really do not like The Glow Part 2 by The Microphones. Also detest Tej Leo/Pharmacists

Yeah, I love both of those.

Is this thread about worst albums we OWN or worst albums we HAVE owned?

Because The Microphones are genuises compared to stuff I owned when I was 10 years old.

I can't be bothered to consider my vinyl - there's probably some nasty shit I've long forgotten in those stacks - but I've got a few ripe ones among my CDs. Contenders for the worst are

Jewel Pieces Of You - I've never been able to sell this thing. Can't find a sucker to take it
Humble Pie Eat It - a couple of the studio tracks are passable, but the live stuff is downright embarassing
Lou Reed Berlin - sunk by his own pretensions. The sound of that child crying makes me wanna rip my ears off
The Darkness Permission To Land - it's a CDR, though, so no harm done
Superconductor Hit Songs For Girls - proof that not everything A.C. Newman touched turned to gold, although I kinda think this one was meant to be unlistenable

But the worst, the one that makes me ashamed for having bought it, makes me hate the band a little more everytime I play it, the one with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever...

Loius XIV The Best Little Secrets Are Kept - found it used for cheap, but rue the day I picked it up. It's destined to join Jewel in the stack of albums no store will take for trade-in.

Oh, wait, Billy Rad already did one. Jewel.

But I love her in a truly patronizing, 19th century sexist male way.

That is not what I was trying to say.

I hated this album when I first heard it and didn’t understand what all the hype was about because it’s a mess and all over the place. I saw things in this album that I might like and so I continued to play it and finally it hit me and I fell in love with it.

I also realize that even people who put in a lot of time into this album still will hate it. So it’s not for everyone.

Sorry if I came across like an elitist fuck!

Jesus I have been around here for three years and would think you know what I mean when it comes out wrong, guess not.

The Pitchfork review of this is pretty funny.
