uhhhhhhhhhhhh, long breath and ill try to answer the questions.

oh, i didnt call the cops because I was . Point blank. Attempted carjacking, rape, kidnapping, etc notwithstanding---we would have gone down for irregardless. My lawyer advised me the next morning that it was a 50/50 crapshoot as to report it or not-----The 2 windows are gonna cost me $680 but with a $500 deductible I thought it was a safe business move to let it ride.

And a memo to all yall Pollyannas or people who have never dealt with reporting any kind of crime or just straight being violated in a decent sized city;unless that shit involves murder or terrorism, the cops dont care.

I've pretty much been jacked in some way almost once a year for the past 12 years, mainly burglary. Shit is tough to deal with but it openly never breaks me-----It is the currency of the life that we all leeeeeeeeeeeeed I suppose;

BUT before this, I had never never really been the (attempted) victim of a violent crime either. Or had someone that I really cared about outside of Big Rick, Lil San, or The Dude With The Pompadour and his family that I might have enough concern over to acttuallt CARE;; your fucking perception changes, right?

Quick answer: Yes. Absolutely. Prison be damned; I love my girl that much.

And as to your question about what resides under my seat (besides the plastic bottle of Smirnoff) I got no carry permit but that situation will be rectified this week.

I carry a shortened L-ville Slugger for what-have-you purposes and a lot of other fairly violent tools and toys and pocket knives, but I was honestly running on adrenaline at the time. Its really easy to say that would have shot homeboy or that I would have done THIS or THAT but its really all instinct at that point.

Woulda been nice to have my 16 gauge at a couple points though......I'm just sayin......

that is insane. i've lived in and ended up in some of the shittiest places imaginable and have never had anything like this happen to me, and there are times where i've asked for it (the infamous "tuxedo incident" springs to mind).

as far as the beater thing i used to have this metal lathe club thingy under my seat and the only time there was an incident remotely calling for its use i totally forgot it was there.

Yail is it tought to get a carry permit down there? i know some dudes up here who had to lie like shit to get one.

I mean...shit....dudes from Philly and NYC come down here to buy gats for a reason...it is just incredibly easy,

Seriously.

And, as everyone else has said, glad it turned out the way it did and not worse.

Incredibly glad you're o.k., and that they weren't more organized, having been the victim of an organized multiple car jacking.

You did the right thing, don't stand for that kind of shit. Way to protect your girl.

Crazy.

Something similar happened to my brother about 6 months ago. It was actually at my birthday party. My brothers girlfriend had just passed her test and he got her a brand new VW. It was parked outside the flat and my brother just happened to be looking out the window when three little punks can walking down the street and kicked the wing mirror off the car, so my brothers (no stranger to a fisticuff) went down stairs caught up with them and punched out two of them and the third one ran off.

So when they were leaving after the party, pulling out of the car park, the three guys stepped in front of the car and they had to brake. My brother got of the car to give them an other ass whopping but then an other three of them appeared behind the car, and one of them drops a crow bar down from his sleeve. So my brother runs back into the car and he's bawling at his girlfriend to step on the gas but she can't get it into gear and then the back window get smashed in. Eventually they got away but the brand new car took a hell of a beating. He said "I wish I'd just left it now, then I'd only have a wing mirror to get fixed!".

They didn't have dudes hanging on the back though. Glad your all OK.

Dudes hanging on the back of a VW would be much more comical...

Damn I'm glad I live in a small town. We live on one of the busiest streets and never lock our front door or vehicles.

Jebus that is crazy. Dude I can't believe you were fucking driving. That sort of incident needs to stay down in Clayton County where it belongs. It was a little hood down in the midtown area last night. I am guessing people from the 4th Ward were rolling up to local.

Now that you've admitted that on the internet, I would start locking everything. Double.

Uhhh, I live in the 4th Ward (have for 3 years)...

But it's like 99% gentified now. It's all cheap little new houses and condos now (I live in neither, but may unfortunately end up living in one soon).

Just saying. The 4th Ward isn't any more of a "bad neighborhood" than any other part of midtown.

you should totally look into constructing your own Road Warrior vehicle, complete with armor plating and optional flamethrower.

Yeah D, I agree. And Pagoda lives in f-ing Grant Park which you could easily say the same shit about depending on what street you happen to have your happy ass on.

The truth is that my businesses (in Jonesboro) are more dangerous than midtown.

I was a mark; it was a setup....

Not really much to add to this story, wasn't there. But I will say that:

1. Dave, is right. The truck looks a lot worse in person.

2. I have a new found respect for his girl for stepping up and trying to fight a mother fucker off.

3. I have no idea what I would have done in that situaiton. Wow.

4. I'm very glad that they're okay.

5. Not really sure that I'd ride with Bloor if I knew he had a plastic bottle of vodka in the truck AND a pistol. But that's just me.

6. That being said, I would have been very okay if when they met up with me at our boy's house afterwards, he had told me that he just shot and killed a guy who was trying to take his ride and do whatever else to him and his lady.

7. Oh, and I'm really glad I didn't ride home with them Fri. night.

Glad to hear you and your gf are safe, Yail. That really, REALLY sucks. You know, since leaving Atlanta back in 95, I've heard so many stories about car jackings. That's just scary that it happened. I don't even know what I would have done in that situation.

As for the area, that's on Ponce in Midtown? That area has always been weird in my opinion, even when I was still in school. Very hit or miss.

...and how did this never happen on friggin Pluma?!? Not that some fucked up shit didn't go down there (steak knife/brick break-in of carson's jeep, house robbery, etc).

In my version, in my head, you ran the guy over. It makes me sleep better.

I openly acccused him of waiting til his girl fell asleep, grabbing Busty and going on a rampage in the Truckster..running over at least 23 homless people just to make himself feel better.

Holy crap C!

I leave town for a week and you and your girl go on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Sounds like a nice piece of driving though. Well done doctor! Now hand me the ether.

I was wondering where you guys had wandered off to.

I'm back to doing Bingo on Monday so come by tonight if you can---I understand if you cant but I'm trying to rebuild my base without the advantage of the Poker crowd----last week was crunk as shit.

So, I'm out on Friday with a bunch of people (including, but not limited to: Busty, The Sen., Rick Derris, Pagoda, Harry Monster, etc.); as me and my gf are leaving and backing out of our parking space a car suddenly pulls up behind me so's as I tap them a bit; before I can even react a dude slams down on my windshield with a crowbar and starts screaming, "Get the fuck out of the car motherfucker!" So I hit the gas. Dude jumps in the back of my truck and immediately smashes out my back window, and starts screaming at me, actually pretending like he is the cops; I'm driving towards my buddiy'shouse and end up in a fairly narrow, residential area whereby I start gunning the gas and then slamming the brakes to throw this fucker out. Didnt work. I have to admit that I wasnt totally sure at this point that he wasn't the cops but I figured that there would be about 15 cars to take me down so I just kept going and figured that I would go down in a blaze of glory. Then I noticed the original car from the parking lot shadowing me. And then they were trying to cut me off.

What happened next is pretty crazy. I basically started using my truck as a battering ram, mainly with the trailer hitch to fight my way through these fucks. Dude in the back is stillscreaming at me and tries to brain me with a disc lock that was in the bed (the lock is lodged in my windshield now) Then he tries to climb in---my girlfriend is fighting this fucker off with closed fists (she's pretty cut up from the glass)

Finally, I managed to lose the other car and then after some more struggle we got rid of the other dude out of the back.

Then we laughed/cried.

Fuckin A kids, be careful out there.
