i wonder if my landlord company will give out the forwarding address to the ex-downstairs neighbors' new place. the more and more i think of it, the more i think it was them because they knew it was down there, and I would think if it was any random person, they certainly would have stolen more than the bike, helmet, and pump.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that. I've had some of my old places broken into before, and you're right, it's not a nice feeling at all.

I did that (what you did to the chair) to a cheap rubbermaid-ish knockoff container (those big tubs for clothes). Kicked it, expecting it to go "bloop" and pop right back, but instead it shattered into like 17 pieces. Looked like I had gone on a bender.

Oh, and PS my sympathies about the bike.

I had a bike stolen the day after I got it on my birthday when I was like 10. I remember we went to a police auction or something to see if it was there but no such luck.

I also had a bike stolen outside of a record store when I was about 17. I think we got the money back from it because I told my parents that it was locked up when it really wasn't.

Yeah, out of the garage when I was 12, took the helmet too. Still mad. Sucks. Sorry.
